 3. 36th (Ulster) Division     4. The Western Front
 With the outbreak of War in Europe the UVF and  YCV were formed into the 36th (Ulster) Division, part  of Kitcheners New Army and left Ulster's shores to  train for Battle in England  The newly trained 36th (Ulster) Division arrive in  France

 Having been sent to the Somme Region of France  the bloodiest Battle in World War one is seen on 1st  July 1916.  Read about Ulster's 9 VC winners. Leave a tribute to  a family member in the Ulster's Heroes section and  see the modern day murals and memorials to  Ulsters sons
